Kyle HarstfieldA graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), Hartsfield is a respected leader in higher education and athletics with more than a decade of experience dedicated to student development and academic success.
A former Golden Lion football player, Hartsfield began his professional journey at UAPB in 2011 as a Project Specialist and Outreach Coordinator in the Minority Initiative Sub-Recipient Grant Office, where he built outreach programs to support Hispanic and other minority organizations in underserved communities. His passion for mentorship and education soon led him to UAPB Athletics, where he served as Assistant Compliance Coordinator before transitioning to Student-Athlete Academic Advisor in 2016.
By 2020, his leadership and commitment to academic excellence earned him the role of Assistant Athletic Director of Academic Services. Under his direction, UAPB Athletics achieved its highest cumulative GPA in school history, with all 16 athletic teams maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA for four consecutive years. He also played a key role in securing and implementing the NCAA’s $900,000 Accelerating Academic Success Program (AASP) grant, which funded the university’s first-ever student-athlete academic center.
Having personally experienced the challenges of academic ineligibility as a student-athlete, Hartsfield brings a unique perspective to his leadership. His story underscores the importance of perseverance, accountability, and balance between academics and athletics.

Tim Dal Bon serves as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Shorter College, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience and a proven record of building competitive, high-performing teams. With an overall head coaching record of 114–54, Dal Bon is known for his ability to develop athletes, strengthen programs, and create a winning culture rooted in discipline and teamwork.
Before joining Shorter College, Dal Bon was the Associate Head Coach at Clark Atlanta University, where he helped lead the Panthers to a 25–6 season, capturing both the SIAC regular season and tournament titles and earning an NCAA Tournament berth. In his second season, the team secured another regular season championship and remained one of the top defensive and rebounding programs in the country.
Previously, Dal Bon served as Head Coach at Albany Technical College, compiling a 53–26 record and producing the program’s first NJCAA All-American. Under his leadership, Albany Tech earned consecutive 21-win seasons and national recognition for its defensive strength.
A native of Fort Myers, Florida, Dal Bon was the all-time leading scorer at Island Coast High School before continuing his basketball career at Tallahassee Community College and Valdosta State University, where he helped his team win a Gulf South Conference Championship and make an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance.
Dal Bon is also an active member of the Latino Association of Basketball Coaches (LABC). At Shorter College, he is dedicated to building a championship culture that prioritizes academic success, player development, and excellence both on and off the court.
